DOLL FUNERAL
No Vacancy gallery is excited to present Young Fashion Designer Anniq Nahumury’s collection ‘Doll Funeral’ .
Anniq launched her own fashion label “poppendokter’ in2008 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands where she currently lives and works. Her fun and bold designs for women are based on Japanese dolls, toys, and robots. They have big silhouettes, simple shapes and are predominately black and grey in colour.
The opening night, Monday 1st June will be an impressive mix of both performance art
and fashion.
The Doll Funeral collection will be installed at No Vacancy gallery for the first week of June accompanied by video documentation of the opening night and the physical remains of the performance. This unique combination of visual art and fashion design is not to be missed.
