Around Winston Street is a series of photos taken around the block from where Serana lives in Shepparton. It offers an insight into life in regional Australia, and documents characters from her immediate community.

This series came about after I took photos of a thunderstorm near my home and was surprised at how foreign the shots looked. Since then I have been exploring my neighbourhood, discovering amazing characters along the way. Keeping it from the point of view of passing by, maintaining the sense of what you see walking around the block, looking in at what is happening in public places, then moving on again, I have curated a series that I believe captures the quirkiness, love and hope that exist here…

Serana makes her living by working as course photographer at racetracks throughout regional Victoria and NSW.
She is simultaniously developing her work as a documentary and contemporary photographer.
