Außtattung by Werkstätte H is an exhibition that investigates the potential for an adaptable living system. Drawing on the development of prefabricated adaptable housing in the post-war era, the exhibition presents a collection of interchangeable and replaceable standardised components which the audience is invited to explore.

Urgent responses to the climate crisis and throwaway culture are critical: the exhibition’s investigation continues the conversation on how design can be regenerative by nature; transitioning materials away from entering the waste stream and towards more
circular economies.

Werkstätte H is a design and research workshop operating at the intersection of design history and theory and object development. Through a research focused practice, Werkstätte H interrogates historical architectural and design theory, with an emphasis on spaces and objects designed for living, as a reference for modern adaptation and application.

Join us to celebrate on Thursday 1 April, 6-8pm
