Molly Stephenson is an artist and writer based in Naarm/Melbourne.
Metaphysically motivated, Molly's sculptural practice involves partaking in an active dialogue with living material through thinking, feeling, making and performing.
Molly received her Bachelors of Fine Arts (Honours) with First Class Honours at Monash University in 2020, and completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2019. She has exhibited with galleries such as SEVENTH Gallery, Buxton Contemporary, Miller's Homestead and BLINDSIDE. She has also been published by publishing house Hearts of Hearts Press and Tesserae Press. Molly was long-listed for 'Hatched 2021: National Graduate Showcase,' received the City of Melbourne's 'Quick Response Art Grant' in 2020, The National Gallery of Victoria's 'Women's Association Award' in 2019, an 'Individual Creative Grant' from the City of Boroondara, as well as was the recipient of the John Vickery Scholarship at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2019. She is also an active member of SEVENTH Gallery's Emerging Writers Program.
