SOMEDAY

Jessie Brinkman-Evans

28th March - April 9th

SOMEDAY is an exploration of the intersection of culture and place in a community at the forefront of global climate catastrophe.

Under threat from both deadly tsunamis and government relocation, the people of Niaqornat, an indigenous community perched on the Arctic fringes of our world, fight to maintain their place within it.

Theirs is a centuries-long attunement to the ever-present ebbs and flows of their environment: It is the intuition ofwhen narwhales will return to their waters or the prediction of an oncoming storm. It is the handing down of traditional knowledge and the community strengthened around it.
