Trace is an exhibition presented but multidisciplinary artists Meg Kelso & Ro Noonan.  Together they use the physical acts of adding too and taking away in their respective practices - as an entry point to draw connection to the cognitive piling that the extended lockdowns have had on the mental health of our community. Both artists employ the physical and obsessive gestures of scraping, scratching, patching, and layering to document and give form to this theory.

By mapping their internal worlds, Meg and Ro give form to their shared experiences through the mediums of painting and sculpture.  Surfaces and structures take on abstract topographical forms acknowledging moments of disorientation and ‘in-between-ness’. The works created are intended to serve as a mark in time, anchors or points of reference and rest when trying to navigate what at times seems an impossible path.

Closing celebration 23rd April 6-9pm. All welcome.
